  • Can I put creatine powder in hot food and drinks?

If I put creatine powder in hot food, say a bowl of ravioli after I've heated it. Will that affect the creatine at all?Can I put creatine powder in hot food and drinks?
definetly not...heating creatine will cause it to break down into creatinine faster.

    * I test nutritional supplements for various leading manufacturesCan I put creatine powder in hot food and drinks?
Yes you can, people commonly eat it with oat meal, milk, coffee, ect. So yeah, its okay to, depending on the taste lol, that makes the difference, you don't want chocolate flavored ramen do ya? No the creatine will be fine. so don't worry
Heating creatine changes the molecular structure. It's similar to what happens when you boil vegetables, you kill most of the enzymes. Drink it cool or cold, no exceptions.
i think some of my guy friends put it in drinks.so idk why you couldnt put it in food too?

How important is Baking powder in peanut butter cookies.

I really want to make peanut butter cookies, but the recipes say we need baking powder, we don't have any baking powder and the shops are closed, how important is Baking powder in Peanut butter cookies? and if it is really important does anyone else have any other peanut butter recipes that don't have Baking powder or shortening?

Thank you so much in advanced! How important is Baking powder in peanut butter cookies.
it keeps them edible. make cookies without baking powder and they wont rise, and turn out as really hard flat cookies. you can in some cases subsititute baking powder with flower and yeast. How important is Baking powder in peanut butter cookies.
I assume the recipe calls for plain flour and baking powder. Maybe you could use self-raising flour instead.

All three types of baking powder is harmful for

health. It leaves carbon d oxide behind and

remain in food. It block intestine and kidney.

Butter is usually a decent substitute for shortening. The texture won't be quite the same, but it will work.

If you don't have baking powder, you can use baking soda instead. Use 1/3 the amount of baking soda as the recipe says (so, if it's 1 tsp powder, use 1/3 tsp soda). Again, it's not quite the same but it's much better than just omitting it.
it helps with the rising a bit.... you can substitute baking soad and a bit of cornstrach ( and/or cream of tartar) I did com across a couple of peanut butter cookie recipes where the reviewer of the recipe OMITTED the baking soda and said the cookies turned out just fine.... try making A few without and chill the dough in the fridge and if that batch turns out then youre ok...if not, just simply go to the store tomorrow and get the powder and add to your chilled dough and finish baking your cookies tomorrow.... sounds delicious!
Hi as someone else said you could use self raising flour instead or if you do not have baking flour you could use 1/4 teaspoon of bi-carb soda, 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tarter which makes 1 teaspoon of baking powder as the other is just filling if you really want to have the filling the use arrowroot flour and so that would be 1/4 teaspoon but you really don't need it.

    Hope that this helps See
sorry all of my calls for baking powder. instead of using shorting i use margine or butter. makes the cookies tast better.

i have also made cookies with out using baking powder. what happens is they dont rise as much some times not at all.

    good luck

Do any of you use brewer's yeast and garlic powder as a flea and tick preventative?

wow, that first guy is a total prickDo any of you use brewer's yeast and garlic powder as a flea and tick preventative?
Garlic can irritate a dog, so be careful with it. If you want something that's more natural, you can use Canine Target Spray for Fleas. I use it on my dogs and I really like it because it is all natural. It's a herbal forumla that acts as insect repellant - without any side effects!!

    Here's the link: http://www.petwellbeing.com/dog-fleas-p6鈥?/a>
Use garlic and have not had fleas for 2 years tried brewers east gives my 2 dogs chronic wind that don鈥檛 smell to nice i give 1 clove every 4 days for each dog mixed in with there food

It does work one of my dogs is allergic to all chemical treatment that the vet has prescribed

It will not kill fleas but will stop them getting comfortable on your dog
No, I get preventives from our vet. As fleas and ticks are harmful to a dog I don't want to muck around with stuff that don't work.
    Since I'm not a gullible granny-tale-believing sucker,of course I don't.

NO ';home remedy'; repels fleas...or any other insect.

Can baking powder be used as a substitute for baby powder?

I got a temporary airbrush tattoo and the instructions were to powder it before showering/sleeping. They said to use baby powder but would baking powder do the same, or like, arm %26amp; hammer powder? Its not for baking, just for keeping the tattoo longer.

Thanks. Can baking powder be used as a substitute for baby powder?
If you sweat, the sodium in the baking powder will burn and you'll be rubbing in no time. Calcium acid sulfate might not help matters any either. In a pinch, cornstarch would be the better bet.

As for showering, drug stores have these plastic cast protectors that would work better than the cornstarch. It's what my son used when he got his marvelous tattoo. Can baking powder be used as a substitute for baby powder?
lol I have to admit it is a funny question!

But I can answer it for you. What the powder does is keep the tattoo dry. Which in turns makes it last longer. So in theory you could use baking powder to do the same thing. (I wouldn't use arm %26amp; hammer though)

But another alternative that most women have is setting powder. This is makeup like stuff,I use it every weekend when doing airbrush tattoos, but I dont know what its real use is! So that is what I put on the tattoo when customer buys one.

If you are not a girl, you can ask your sister, mom, grandma or girlfriend. They will have it.

But you could also use any other kind of makeup that is powdery.

But yes, I think putting a little baking powder on will do the trick!

    Hope this helps!

Anyone have information about a J Barnes Black powder/percussion cap 12 gauge double barrel shot gun?

I would like to find out the manufacture date, origin, possible worth, etc. I have been searching the www unable to find anything about this gun. Thanks for your help in advance.Anyone have information about a J Barnes Black powder/percussion cap 12 gauge double barrel shot gun?
I have checked J Barnes against know British makers, with negative results, problem is that mean nothing, as many small gun makers are lost in obscurity. The same applies to American makers. Your gun is certainly not worthless. It could be worth a few hundred or a few thousand, so you might consider a professional appraisal of the weapon. The below link give you an idea of how this works. It may require a hands on inspection. Yours could be a flintlock to percussion conversion. At least you have a maker name. A lot of these guns have nothing on them.

I was hoping there was a link to the famous bullet brand, Barnes, but the company is only 75 years old. Good Luck.

Is it good to apply a moisturizer and then apply powder foundation?

    Thanks.=]

Only answer if you know.Is it good to apply a moisturizer and then apply powder foundation?
yes, you need moisturizer on the face before applying make up. otherwise, the make up is just gonna stick to the skin and not absorb. absorb is what you want. chanel has a good moisturizer. Is it good to apply a moisturizer and then apply powder foundation?
THANKS FOR EVERYONES HELP! Report Abuse

Yes, you just need to give your moisterizer a few minutes to sink into you skin. I do it every morning.
You should always moisturize. Just wait until the moisturizer is completley absorbed into your skin b4 you apply or it will all stick and blotch.
Yeah it is good to exfoliate first, then moisturize with lotion, or aloe vera gel.
yes! in fact u should! you should ALWAYS moisturize before putting on any make up...its good for your skin and it will be easier to take off your make up. wait a few minutes after putting on moisturizer before u put on ur make up though.....let ur skin absorb the good stuff for a bit! =)
Yes, it makes the final look more sheer and even. It also helps it stay on longer because it sticks. Great for dry skin, too.
That depends on what skin type you have. Unless it's oily, it's good to use moisturizer first. I always do and I'm happier with the results.

Can one get gun powder residue from picking up a recently fired gun?

There was a death caused by gunshot. The girlfriend said it was a suicide, but she had residue on her hands. She said she picked up the gun after her boyfriend shot himself. How can it be determined whether it was suicide or murder? Can one get gun powder residue from picking up a recently fired gun?
Generally, if the chemical that is applied to the hands that detects gunpowder residue shows a positive reading on the palms, then it usually signifies that the weapon was picked up after it was discharged. If the positive reading is seen on the backs of the hands, it normally means the weapon was being gripped at the time it was fired.

The deceased is also tested for powder residue on their hands.

There are several other nuances that detectives look at to determine if someone is a suspect in a death investigation. Can one get gun powder residue from picking up a recently fired gun?
yes, you can absolutely get gunpowder residue on your hand from picking up a gun.

If the gun is fired, there will be more residue, and you will find it on the back of the hands and even some on the wrist or cuff of a longsleeve shirt
Is this a real case? A fantasy of yours? Are you writing a mystery novel? Think about it...a guy blows his brains out and the girlfriend picks up the gun? I call B.S.! Why would someone want to pick up a gun after someone else just shot themselves with it?
It is not natural to pick up a gun at a suicide.

But the blood splatter and how much residue was on her are more interesting.

Blood forms a fine mist and if she was close it will be there. Muzzle flash burns on the victim are another tell tale.
Can't be determined. Impossible. All they can do is guess by looking at the trajectory of the bullet, distance it was fired from, and especially, if the dead guy has residue on his hand.
If she just picked up a fire gun there would not be much powder residue on her, just a pit on the hands. If she fired it there would be in more places.
Picking up a contaminated firearm would leave trace amount on the contact areas. Testing for GSR is over the top of the hands and exterior clothing.
    Simple answer, yes

Weeping willow has orange powder on leaves what is it how do i get rid of it?

the orange powder is only on the underside of the leaves please could some one help thanks .sandraWeeping willow has orange powder on leaves what is it how do i get rid of it?
It is a fungus called rust. It usually will not hurt the plant, unless it becomes very bad. then a fungicide application may be necessary. It is very common in lawns, and sometimes seen in trees. Most of the time it will simply go away with a change in weather conditions. If your tree starts dropping leaves I would contact a tree care company in your area for possible treatment.

If crack cocaine requires powder cocaine to make it, why is it cheaper?

I was researching crack cocaine out of curiosity. I read that in order to produce crack cocaine, you need powder cocaine. I also read that crack cocaine is cheaper than powder cocaine.

So I have a very simple business question. Why would someone buy powder cocaine, spend the time to cook it and make crack, and then sell it for less than they bought the ingredients for?If crack cocaine requires powder cocaine to make it, why is it cheaper?
powder cocaine + baking soda = crack

For $100 worth of baking soda a dealer can turn $5k worth of high quality cocaine into $15k worth of crack. Looks like a pretty sound business model to me.If crack cocaine requires powder cocaine to make it, why is it cheaper?
It's just another way to cut it down. But the new form that is created with the Baking Soda is smokeable. You get a tremendous rush that only lasts for a few minutes. You can actually snort crack (if you chop it with a blade). But the affect is nowhere near as good as the pure powder cocaine. The value of the CRACK is that it is in smokeable form. The value of powder is that you can snort it for a good affect, or shoot it through the veins (if your a high roller and want to flirt with death).

Why? Because war is inevitable...War is the usual state of mankind...Since 3,000 BCE, there has only been 34 years in which there has not been a war occurring somewhere on the earth...What happend in Balkan Powder Keg? Please give me a good answer?
Which event or period of time are you referring to?

There was age-old rivalry and wars by the various ethnic peoples of the Balkans, that's why it was called the Powder Keg of Europe.

Do you mean World War One?

Europe was so divided, it only needed one incident to spark off a potential disaster. This incident occurred at Sarajevo in July 1914.

The murder of Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo is accepted by historians as the immediate cause of World War One though serious trouble - long term causes - had been brewing for sometime.

On June 28th 1914, the heir to the Austrian Empire, Franz Ferdinand, was visiting Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia.

Bosnia was in the very south-east corner of the Austrian empire and some people there wanted to be independent from Austria and set up their own state which could run itself.

Franz Ferdinand had been warned that his visit could provoke trouble but he ignored this advice and visited Sarajevo regardless. As was common at the time, he travelled in an open topped car.

There had been trouble at the start of his royal tour of Sarajevo when another car in his entourage was hit by a grenade and an Austrian officer had been injured. Clearly, Sarajevo was a dangerous place to be.

However, Franz Ferdinand wanted to demonstrate that his family was in control of Sarajevo and to have stopped the tour would have been seen as a sign of weakness by those who did not want Bosnia and Sarajevo ruled by the Austrians.

Franz ordered that his route through Sarajevo be changed at the last minute as he wanted to see the injured officer in hospital. Unfortunately, his driver did not fully understand his instructions and got lost.

Stopping to check where he was, the driver attempted to reverse out on to the main street. By bad luck, he stopped right by a man called Gavrilo Princip. He was a member of the Black Hand Gang which wanted to rid Bosnia of Austrian rule. He had also been behind the grenade throwing and was now trying to disguise himself among the many people who lined the streets fearing the police might arrest him. Not believing his luck, Princip pulled out the revolver he had on him and shot Franz and his wife. Both died as a result.

The Treaty of Versailles was the peace settlement signed after World War One.

The treaty was signed on June 28th 1919 after months of argument and negotiation amongst the so-called ';Big Three'; as to what the treaty should contain.

Who were the ';Big Three'; and where did they clash over Germany and her treatment after the war ?

The ';Big Three'; were David Lloyd George of Britain, Clemenceau of France and Woodrow Wilson of America.
I assume you are referring to the key event which set in motion World War I.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire had seized control of Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of their empire, which made many people in Serbia angry, as they thought it (and its large population of ethnic Serbs) should be part of their nation. When it was announced that the crown prince of the empire, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand would be visiting the capital city of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sarajevo, a group of young Serbian extremists organized into a group called the Black Hand with the intent of assassinating the Archduke.

The group, despite an almost-comedic series of setbacks, eventually did manage to shoot the Archduke and his wife, causing a number of demands from Austria, which Serbia refused to comply with. Austria declared war on Serbia, and because of a number of alliances between both nations, all of Europe was pulled into the conflict.

The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty ending WW I. It was significant in that, primarily due to French insistence, Germany was forced to accept total responsibility for the war, was forced to pay huge reparations to the Allies, bankrupting their economy, and was forced to give up all but a tiny, token military, a measure considered humiliating to the Germans. All in all, the Treaty only set the stage for WW II, and paved the way for Hitler's rise to power.

Can I use baking powder in place of baking soda in a banana muffin recipe?

They're not the same but they can be used in the same way in recipes.

I found this article from ochef.com that will break down the information better than I can:

Baking soda is four times as strong as baking powder 鈥?so if your recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of baking soda, you would need four teaspoons of baking powder to produce the same amount of lift. Unfortunately, though, it鈥檚 not that simple.

Baking powder is made of baking soda and exactly the right amount of acid to react with the soda (it also includes corn starch to keep the ingredients from prematurely reacting in the privacy of their container). So if your recipe already has acidic ingredients that were going to neutralize the baking soda called for, you are adding other ingredients that may not sit well with them.

Substituting for a lack of baking powder is very easy: 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar (ignoring the cornstarch) for each teaspoon of baking powder required.

We鈥檝e looked in dozens of books to be sure, but no one provides information for the reverse procedure 鈥?substituting baking powder when you don鈥檛 have soda on hand. To do so, you would have to consider the acidic ingredients in the recipe, and perhaps reengineer the recipe to replace them with more neutral ingredients (using whole milk instead of buttermilk, perhaps). But at that point, you would see, it would be easier and probably a lot more successful to pick up a box of baking soda.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!

What is the difference between baking soda and baking powder?

    Include:

    Chemical formula

    Ingredients

How they react with heatWhat is the difference between baking soda and baking powder?
Sodium Bicarbonate is NaHCO3. Baking Soda is pure NaHCO3 while Baking Powder is that plus other ingredients, see below

Both baking soda and baking powder are leavening agents, which means they are added to baked goods before cooking to produce carbon dioxide and cause them to 'rise'. Baking powder contains baking soda, but the two substances are used under different conditions.

    Baking Soda

Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. When baking soda is combined with moisture and an acidic ingredient (e.g., yogurt, chocolate, buttermilk, honey), the resulting chemical reaction produces bubbles of carbon dioxide that expand under oven temperatures, causing baked goods to rise. The reaction begins immediately upon mixing the ingredients, so you need to bake recipes which call for baking soda immediately, or else they will fall flat!

    Baking Powder

Baking powder contains sodium bicarbonate, but it includes the acidifying agent already (cream of tartar), and also a drying agent (usually starch). Baking powder is available as single-acting baking powder and as double-acting baking powder. Single-acting powders are activated by moisture, so you must bake recipes which include this product immediately after mixing. Double-acting powders react in two phases and can stand for a while before baking. With double-acting powder, some gas is released at room temperature when the powder is added to dough, but the majority of the gas is released after the temperature of the dough increases in the oven. What is the difference between baking soda and baking powder?
Sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydrogen carbonate is the chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3. Sodium bicarbonate is a white solid that is crystalline but often appears as a fine powder. It has a slight alkaline taste resembling that of washing soda (sodium carbonate). It is a component of the mineral natron and is found dissolved in many mineral springs. The natural mineral form is known as nahcolite. It is also produced artificially.

    reaction with heat----

Above 70 掳C, sodium bicarbonate gradually decomposes into sodium carbonate, water and carbon dioxide. The conversion is fast at 250 掳C:

    2 NaHCO3 鈫?Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2

Most bicarbonates undergo this dehydration reaction. Further heating converts the carbonate into the oxide (at around 1000 掳C):

    Na2CO3 鈫?Na2O + CO2

These conversions are relevant to the use of NaHCO3 as a fire-suppression agent (';BC powder';) in some dry powder fire extinguishers

    baking powder-----

Baking powder is a dry chemical leavening agent used to increase the volume and lighten the texture of baked goods such as muffins, cakes, and biscuits (cookies in American English). Baking powder works by releasing carbon dioxide gas into a batter or dough through an acid-base reaction, causing bubbles in the wet mixture to expand and thus leavening the mixture. It is used instead of yeast for end-products where fermentation flavors would be undesirable or where the batter lacks the elastic structure to hold gas bubbles for more than a few minutes. Because carbon dioxide is released at a faster rate through the acid-base reaction than through fermentation, breads made by chemical leavening are called quick breads.

Most commercially-available baking powders are made up of an alkaline component (typically baking soda), one or more acid salts, and an inert starch (cornstarch in most cases, though potato starch may also be used). Baking soda is the source of the carbon dioxide, and the acid-base reaction is more accurately described as an acid-activated decomposition of baking soda, which can be generically represented as

    NaHCO3 + H+ 鈫?Na+ + CO2 + H2O

    reaction with heat-----

The acid in a baking powder can be either fast-acting or slow-acting. A fast-acting acid reacts in a wet mixture with baking soda at room temperature, and a slow-acting acid will not react until heated in an oven. Baking powders that contain both fast- and slow-acting acids are double acting; those that contain only one acid are single acting. By providing a second rise in the oven, double-acting baking powders increase the reliability of baked goods by rendering the time elapsed between mixing and baking less critical, and this is the type most widely available to consumers today. Common low-temperature acid salts include cream of tartar and monocalcium phosphate (also called calcium acid phosphate). High-temperature acid salts include sodium aluminum sulphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, and sodium acid pyrophosphate...........

How does carbon powder help to increase the conductivity of electrolyte in dry cells ?

Carbon powder itself is conductive. When mixed with electrolyte (dry or otherwise), the electrolyte's conductivity improves.

Is liquid or powder detergent better for your machine?

I have heard liquid gunks up your machine and I have heard powder accumulates. Which one is truly better for your machine? I have a front loader that I want to last a long time.Is liquid or powder detergent better for your machine?
Liquid . . . powder gums up the works. I had a repairman tell me that if everyone used liquid detergent, he'd be out of work.Is liquid or powder detergent better for your machine?
Actually, it's just the opposite. Powder will gunk up your machine, especially if you use too much. The liquid dilutes quickly , while powders take time to dissolve.
    I use Liquid-Tide

As said above its the powder thats both worse for machine and clothes as well.

This is in a 60 foot shaft with a wide vein of quartz containing visable galena and arsenopyrite, and one wall is a soft talc. What mineral/or metal would oxidize to a orange powder in the motherlode gold country of California.?
The only other possibilities are Realgar and Orpiment. These are associated with Arsenopyrite below and are Arsenic Sulfides. They are commonly orange and yellow and usually occur with Gold deposits more than the others mentioned. What mineral/or metal would oxidize to a orange powder in the motherlode gold country of California.?
Arsenopyrite, AsFeS, could oxidize to As2O3, FeO and SO2. FeO is hematite, commonly called rust, and could easily be the ';orange powder'; on the wall of the shaft. Pyrite FeS can be present and would oxidize to hematite. Any yellow powder could be limonite Fe(OH)3, which is commonly associated with hematite when pyrite oxidizes in the presence of water.

Iron pyrite might go to a mixture of oxide and sulphate under some conditions.

What is the difference between baking soda and baking powder?

    How Are Recipes Determined?

Some recipes call for baking soda, while others call for baking powder. Which ingredient is used depends on the other ingredients in the recipe. The ultimate goal is to produce a tasty product with a pleasing texture. Baking soda is basic and will yield a bitter taste unless countered by the acidity of another ingredient, such as buttermilk. You'll find baking soda in cookie recipes. Baking powder contains both an acid and a base and has an overall neutral effect in terms of taste. Recipes that call for baking powder often call for other neutral-tasting ingredients, such as milk. Baking powder is a common ingredient in cakes and biscuits. What is the difference between baking soda and baking powder?

What's the difference between baking soda and baking powder while baking muffins?

im baking muffins and dont know what to use. If i use baking powder how will this affect the muffins? if i use baking soda how will this affect the muffind?

    how will the TEXTURE/APPEARANCE/TASTE

DIFFER??What's the difference between baking soda and baking powder while baking muffins?
when using soda there has to be an acidic component to the recipe....ie buttermilk, lemon jc, cream of tartar and best used pretty much right away

when using baking powder the acidic element in included and while still starts to react most of the raising is done when heated and can be used within 24 hours

if the recipe calls for baking powder and you haven't any, use baking soda and add a bit of cream of tartar or sub buttermilk for the milk/water

otherwise there is little differenceWhat's the difference between baking soda and baking powder while baking muffins?
baking powder is baking soda with corn starch.

The corn starch delays and supports the gas produced by the soda

there won't be a noticeable difference in taste but the muffins might not raise as high as you are used to.

Baking power may add a bitter taste if the muffins are over acidic. Like Lemon or Orange Poppy.

Best thing is to use what is called for.

I use loose powder after i mosturize but around the middle of the day my face starts to shine. I go to school so i dont hav time to reapply. Is there any way to keep it on longer??? Bcuz i literally cant go to the bathroom to do reapply i be late for class.I use loose powder but my face shine in the middle of the day?
Try using (colored) oil blotting papers. You can find them at cosmetic counters or beauty supply stores (like Sally's).I use loose powder but my face shine in the middle of the day?
avon makes a wonderful product called oil mattifier.. it is a lotion consistancy, goes on nice and helps to keep the shinies away during the day.. I use it everyday..
Use foundation first. That will create a base for powder to stick to and not slide right off.
You need a good oil control cleanser to start with. Try Tru-Porefection Refining Cleanser by Avon. Then try a oil control lotion. Clinique makes a few good ones. Then in the afternoon try a oil control powder. Hope this helps
Use an oil absorbing powder in those trouble ares.

Whats the difference between taking creatine capsules or creatine powder for building muscle?

The difference between the two is absorption. The powder is the faster of the two. The capsule spreads the effect over time. Creatine is a very good supplement for an athlete who strives to build muscle to protect the bones and joints from shock, and also to enhance the uptake of clean protein for maximum natural gain (which for natural bodybuilders is perfect...no side effects). It is also great for endurance athletes to promote better oxygen intake. With a good diet and proper exercise regimen, it will help to build lean quality muscle! Happy Working out!!!Whats the difference between taking creatine capsules or creatine powder for building muscle?
there both bad, you shouldnt be taking any pills to help with muscle gain, the only thing that will help is protein, it helps to build muscle and not a drugWhats the difference between taking creatine capsules or creatine powder for building muscle?
ok first of all, dont listen to the first guy who answered, doesnt know what hes on about, they will both have the same effect creatine just helps you train harder you will be gaining energy through the ATP - PC system (adenosine triphosphate phospho creatine) taking creatine wont hurt you if you stick to the dosage, but it should only be take with advice from your doctor and if you are training hard

What is ';espresso powder'; and how is it different than ';espresso coffee';?

Like instant coffee, it is a dried form of espresso, we used to use it in the restaurant business, but regular coffee, just use a slighty larger amount.

Most espresso drinkers would keel over to think there is an instant product, but if you do not have a espresso maker of any kind this is a reasonable way to enjoy espresso.

I have a small stove top one in my cupboard, and there are small home units, but the instant will give you the flavour and can be used in baking and other food products. What is ';espresso powder'; and how is it different than ';espresso coffee';?

My dog throw-up a blue pill with brown powder inside how can I tell what this is?

I don't have any medication like this around my home. My dog throw-up a blue pill with brown powder inside how can I tell what this is?
Well, there are hundreds of medications I'm sure that fit that description, so I don't think you will be able to accurately identify the pill. Since he vomited up the pill, it's unlikely that he ingested enough to be harmful, but since you don't know where it came from he could of had more than one. Watch for any type of abnormal symptoms such as excess saliva production, continuing vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, etc. I would also call your veterinarian and let them know the situation, so that if you do noticed any of the above symptoms, you can take her there ASAP.My dog throw-up a blue pill with brown powder inside how can I tell what this is?
your best bet is to call a pharmacists and describe the pill to him.

Call any local pharmacy and ask to speak to a pharmacist.. tell him you need help ID'ing the medication. Look on the outside of the pill for any other markings, indentations, etc that would also help ID the pill.

Try to think of where your dog has been recently that he may have gotton this pill. Is it possible that its an old medication that you may have had in the home at one time, and he found a lost pill?
I would actually call your doctor OR a pharmacist to see if they can tell you. If you don't have any pills like this in the home, think about where your dog has been lately. Friends home, relative, car, etc.
i would keep in like in a vile or something and bring it to the vet. see what he/she thinks about it.
    viagra? haha only joking

take it to a doctor or something to get them to look at it

and also take your pet to the VET
There used to be a book called a pdr. it had photos of all prescription pills and a description of them
he probly found it in the yard or somewhere outside when u took him on a walk and swallowed it. Take him to a vet.

I've also read about how liquid humic acid loosens up clay soil but how would I apply humic acid powder on this space?Using humic acid powder on clay soil?
We've not read a lot of information on humic acid powders as soil amendments, they are more along the lines of fertilizers or products that enhance the uptake of soil nutrients. Gypsum is a good choice for breaking up clay soils.

You are on the right track by adding organic material to the clay. Soil improvement is a long term project unless you want to throw a lot of money at the project.

Good Luck and Happy Gardening from Cathy and Neal!Using humic acid powder on clay soil?
For soil compaction I would recommend a product call ';Pozzolan'; or ';Lassenite ATS';. This is an all natural diatomaceous volcanic soil amendment. It is extremely porous and will break up clay based soil to improve the drainage. It is also a water conserving soil amendment, meaning that it absorbs and holds water, storing it until the plant needs it.

You will need to ask your local nursery or green house where to buy it as it is not available everywhere.

  • Makeup- Whats the difference between liquid and powder foundation?

liquid foundation makes my face look oily by the end of the day and powder foundation just sits on my skin making it look flakey....pls help me xMakeup- Whats the difference between liquid and powder foundation?
I used to have the SAME problem.. it's cause we have like combination skin.. so the liquid just makes us too oily, and the powder just doesn't work haha..

I started using Lauren Hutton's Aqua Elements.. it's a mineral based type of foundation.. you can see it here: http://www.laurenhutton.com/aqua-element鈥?/a>

I absolutely love it! It's the perfect foundation for your skin type.. and there are several shades to choose from, so that you can have the best match for your skin tone.

Hope this is helpful.Makeup- Whats the difference between liquid and powder foundation?
Well, the name really explains itself. Liquid is usually a water based formula or some other liquid whereas powder is a powder based formula. I would say you should get a makeup primer to mix in with your liquid foundation. Make sure you are using a good moisturizer. I like Cetaphil because it is gentle and although it looks heavy it isn't greasy at all.
I'm pretty sure they have non oily liquid foundation. If thats what you want to use, then do some research on it and find some good ones.

MAC has them. You should try it out.

All powder foundations make you look kinda' cakey. Using a brush instead of the sponge that comes with it will help it looking less flakey.
liquid foundation seeps into your pores. get bare minerals. i used to say the same about powder foundation until i switched to BM and i am sold i will never stop using it. it's the best foundation EVERRRR covers every single flaw and makes my skin glow. i love it!
i use a tinted moisturizer to sort of prime my skin, and then i use a coverage powder over it.

i use Stila Tinted Moisturizer and Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder
the use a mixture of both! lolz thats what i do=]

the liquid is suppose to have the dewy effect, and the powder is just powder.

    Sammy
    They give you different coverage.

can you give me a list or whatever you use that you think is really goood. What is the best liquid foundation and powder makeup?
I don't like liquid makeup, it always looks cakey. But Physician's Formula has a great face powder. And Covergirl has a great liquid concealer that doesn't look nasty like all the others. The concealer also works well as an eye shadow base. What is the best liquid foundation and powder makeup?
Depending what sort of coverage your looking for and how much you want to spend. I love MAC Liquid foundation for medium to full coverage i would say there studio fix fluid is the best comes with a huge range to match your skin tone and the artists there will help get your match a cheaper medium build-able coverage try l'oreal infailable. For light coverage MAC have a mineral foundation and maybeillne also have a nice one. Powder wise Mac have a nice range mineral and full coverage. the Maybeline have a really nice mineral powder. MAC is a little pricey but it totally worth it.
    I use these:

Here is what I use: Coonobabe - a South Beach brand similar in quality to bobbi brown, Chanel except much much less expensive.

I use their Moisturize (normal/dry) then lightly top it off with their Happy Ending Powder. I live in a hot/humid place and this looks natural, and stays on for hours without touching up.

    Google Coonobabe

btw - they ship 4 free, made in USA, and do not test on animals - a must for me. hope this helps

Is it a good idea to use cream and powder eyeshadow at the same time?

I have 2 colours that will go really well togerth. Problem is one is a glittery powder (Barry M) and the other is a cream eyeshadow. Does anyone know if this will produce weird looking eye or will they mix during the night? Is it a good idea to use cream and powder eyeshadow at the same time?
It would look nice at 1st but after a while ... the cream eyeshadow will clump, it would not look very nice and clean... and it may look a little trampy after a while...

..Is it a good idea to use cream and powder eyeshadow at the same time?
    Thanks :) Report Abuse

    NO

Use either one or the other

    Not both
I don't see anything wrong with it. I mean the cream will definitely stay longer, but if you put the powder on top of the cream, then you should be good. It will probably just make the color of the powder eyeshadow stay longer.

    : )
Don't do it babe! Never a fan of cream eye shadow... Difficult to apply and tends to clump! Go for powder every time!
I think that the cream eyeshadow might begin to clump in the creases of your eyelid, and then maybe the powder eyeshadow would stick to it, creating an odd effect. However, I am not sure, so what I would do is try them on during the day one day when your just sitting around the house and see how it goes. If it looks good and stays that way all day, then you'll know its fine!

What is the best shampoo or wash to wash your professional powder brushes with?

i have a really bad problem with acne i break out easily and also have very sensitive skin so i cant use products with alot of fragrance and stuff.

ive heard baby shampoo works great but i wanted to be sure. my brushes are new and quite expensive so i dont want to mess them upWhat is the best shampoo or wash to wash your professional powder brushes with?
MAC brush cleanser works extremely well, but I find that I end up using quite a bit because it's very concentrated and watery, so you tend to use more. It's wonderful, though, and worth the pricey tag if you shop at MAC, as you can put your empty bottles towards Back2MAC, so when you accumulate 6 empty products (lipstick, eyeshadow, pigment, blush, etc.), you can take them to the store and get a free lipstick of your choice!

You can also get a cheap ULTA brand brush cleanser from ULTA, they work really well and leave little residue if washed out thoroughly.

Basically, you can use foam hand soap, baby shampoo, or pretty much anything you want...just don't use fortifying shampoos or anything like that which may strip and trash your brushes. I use my redken all soft shampoo on my huge, fluffy powder brushes, and it makes them SUPER soft. :]What is the best shampoo or wash to wash your professional powder brushes with?
Yes, I've heard baby shampoo is gentle for washing the brushes, but does the manufacturer of the brushes have a special soap that they make specifically for those brushes? If they are quite expensive, chances are they do. If not, and you are sensitive, I would choose a non-scented soap, or something like Aveno which is more hypo-allergenic. Just be sure to rinse them well.

    Good luck with that!
Yes baby shampoo works fine, I also like to put conditioner on mine, in between washing you can use a brush cleaner I like to use the one by Ben Nye, do not submerge your brushes under water or use hot water. You can read more about brush care on my site at http://www.naloinc.com
The shampoo I've used has never made a difference to my brushes. As long as you rinse them properly with warm water there should be no problems.

Can oil absorbing powder get rid of the pimples on my face?

Can oil absorbing powder get rid of the pimples on my face? I have very oily skin and I'm assuming this is the reason for my acne...

I have tried many different products including prescription meds. I bought this powder from mark by avonCan oil absorbing powder get rid of the pimples on my face?
Oily skin isnt' always the cause of acne.

If you are using too many products for oil absorption, it can make the acne worse, as you are simply caking it on your face, which then mixes with the oils and can clog your pores.

Try it out. I doubt it will get rid of your acne.

It could easily be your hormonal levels, which prescription meds would not fix. Or it could be how you treat your face (ie drying cleaners/scrubs, irritating your skin)Can oil absorbing powder get rid of the pimples on my face?
Your problem is very common in teenage girls. The best thing to do in a situation like this, is to apply a masque to your face twice a week. The masque will reduce the oil on your skin. Obviously, your oil glands reproduce quickly, so when you put on your powder in the mornings, you transfer oil onto the make up brushes that you use. It would be best if you were to wash out your makeup brushes at least once a month, and DO NOT use moisturizer. It only helps your oil glands. So it only needs to be used on dry skin. Thank you for your question! :) (And dont forget to wash your face regularly!)
Try it, but if they get bigger it might be because the powder is getting in your pores and clogging them even more. I found tea tree oil works well on my oily skin. Medicated stuff can get to harsh, and its not cheap. Tea tree oil is natural. Try it if you haven't. Its in a lot of natural face cleaners.

Where in the DC Metro area can I buy fresh Henna powder?

I usually get my powder online, but I only have a week before my event (it was a last-minute kind of thing) and I need 2 days for mixing the paste. This means that I don't have any time for shipping, so I need to find it locally. I tend to be picky about my henna (triple-sifted, etc), but at this point as long as I can get it quickly and it's somewhat fresh I won't complain. Thanks!Where in the DC Metro area can I buy fresh Henna powder?
I get fresh, fresh, great henna here, and they will ship on friday, tomorrow if you order today.http://www.hennacaravan.com/

IT is plenty of time to get it and mix it and use it.
